Whether you are experiencing symptoms of a female health problem or are simply due for your annual women’s health exam, we are here for you at Vanguard Medical Clinic in Calgary.
As your medical home, we also provide other medical services for comprehensive care, such as chronic disease management and acute care visits.
How We Can Help
Vanguard Medical Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of a female physician to our team! Dr. Alicja Kennedy’s clinic will be is pleased to accept referrals** for the following:
- PAPs
- Contraception discussion and management
- IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals
- Endometrial biopsies
- Female physicals
- Breast exams
- STI testing and management
- Vaginitis
- Prenatal appointments until transfer to OB/low-risk OB
- Post-partum visits and well-baby checks up to 6 weeks
- Other women’s health issues on a case-by case basis (i.e. vulvar biopsy)
*Patients who have female biology regardless of how they identify. **Physician referrals are preferred but we will accept self-referrals as well.

New patients of all ages, male and female, are welcome. We are happy to schedule appointments for multiple family members on the same day, to reduce travel and missed work or school. Vanguard Medical & Aesthetic Clinic is sensitive to the needs of the community, too.
Family budgets can be strained – we understand. We bill according to the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan, so there are no unpleasant surprises. You also have the assurance of full transparency for any services not covered under Alberta Health Care, with information provided to you in advance of treatment. Our friendly front desk staff works with you to make out of pocket expenses fit into your budget as smoothly as possible.
